The
Groome Inn began as the dream of Jimmie Groome
long before she purchased the historic family home
in 2003. Our entire family immediately began updating
the older part of the home to enhance its 1900
beauty. As the work progressed, everyone realized
the small kitchen and dining area simply did not
meet the needs of a modern family. We wanted a
place where our own family would have the space,
comfort and conveniences to enjoy gatherings. The
decision was made to build a large addition that
would house a state of the art kitchen, opening
into a sunroom – allowing ample space for
food preparation, group conversations, and dining.
We also added a luxurious honeymoon suite on the
second floor, along with two additional bathrooms
for the upstairs bedrooms in the original part
of the house. The renovations required 18 months
of hard labor and emotional fortitude. The end
result is The Groome Inn, a splendid Bed and Breakfast,
and a home we are proud to present to our guests.
Our family is passionate about this house and business
as the house was built by one of our own Groome ancestors.
It stands as a tribute to our heritage.
